Most Recent and Upcoming Releases...
A Mermaid's Ransom (December 2009) - This is the story of Jonah and Anna's daughter Alexis (Jonah and Anna were the main characters of A Mermaid's Kiss) and Dante, a Dark One/vampire half breed who was briefly featured in A Witch's Beauty. Writing this story was another fascinating journey into the nature of good and evil, redemption and the healing power of love, some of my favorite topics. I was also able to bring together my vampire queen and mermaid/angel series, because with Dante being a vampire, their paths will cross Lyssa and Jacob's!
Laced with Desire (February 2, 2010) - The Unlaced anthology has been so popular the publisher has brought the four of us authors back together for another volume. In Unlaced, you'll remember I contributed Lucas's story, from the Knights of the Board Room series. Keeping with that theme, in Laced with Desire, I'll be providing Peter's story, another "Knight". He meets the submissive of his dreams, only to have a wartime tragedy threaten to take her from him. It will take all his Dominant sensibilities to convince her to embrace life again and accept the love he wants to offer to her.
Branded Sanctuary (February 12, 2010) - This is the long awaited story of Brendan and Chloe, from the Nature of Desire series. You may recall they were popular secondary characters from Mirror of My Soul. Chloe’s been having some trouble getting over her traumatic experience from that book, and Brendan is the perfect, sensitive hero to restore her confidence and joie de vivre again. Of course Marguerite and Tyler will help facilitate in a number of provocative ways...
More vampires! Gideon, a vampire hunter and Jacob's brother, introduced in Mark of the Vampire Queen, will have his own story - in two books! Vampire Mistress releases May 2010 and the sequel, tentatively titled Vampire Trinity, will come out September 2010. This story is my first menage love story (m/m/f). Works In Process (hopefully for 2010 submission)...
Next will be Elisa's story. Due to problems managing the vampire "children" you met in A Vampire’s Claim, Elisa, who's a second-marked servant in Lady Danny's household, will need to travel to a different country. There she'll work with a vampire who is the silent partner in a wild cat sanctuary and uniquely suited to "tame" the children down.
Finally, we'll return to Jacob and Lyssa, the two characters who started the Vampire Queen series ! Lyssa will be exploring more of her Fae ancestry and Jacob will be by her side as always, for whatever dangers and intrigues they face.
Knights of the Board Room series:
Two of "the boys" still need their own story - Ben, as well as Jon, and I hope to be working on one or both of them sometime in 2010. Jon will be falling for a yoga instructor/physical therapist a little bit older than him. Ben will go in the opposite direction - Marci, Cassandra's younger sister (from Controlled Response/Unlaced anthology), has set her sights on him and doesn't intend to let him get away - not realizing that she may have a tiger by the tail.
The recent A Mermaid's Ransom introduced Clara, Alexis's best friend. She has her eye on the brooding Dark Legion captain, Marcellus, and he's going to find himself reluctantly assigned as her guardian angel. Don't know when this work will be scheduled, but I'll likely know more after my 2010 contracts with Berkley are set.
Future Story Ideas...
Rough Canvas brought us Julie, a close friend of Marcus and Thomas. Since she’s in her late thirties and has pretty much given up on finding a good relationship, she’s told Marcus that she’d just rather hang around with gorgeous gay men, flirt with and fantasize about them, than be let down by a flesh and blood hetero male. We’re going to see if we can’t find a man to change her mind about that. You know Marcus and Thomas will be there, protecting her interests and checking this guy out thoroughly. I also expect additional secondary characters from that work - Rory and Daralyn, as well as Ellen - to possibly get their own books.
Non-series Projects:
Finally, there's another male/male erotic romance drifting around in my mind, and an epic fantasy/paranormal romance series to update and remarket. So right now it appears I've enough to hold me for the next couple decades (laughter). But priorities are always shuffling. I'll keep you posted on everything!
