Marcie, Ben, Cyn and Mick take a little road trip. But the journey will be far more than what they expect it to be! Ben and Marcie are the main characters from Hostile Takeover, a Knights of the Board Room series story. Cyn and Mick come to us from At Her Pleasure, the fourth standalone Mistresses of the Board Room novel. You’ll also discover a touch of paranormal in this otherwise contemporary tale, courtesy of Arcane Knight, the Knights of the Board Room series and Arcane Shot trilogy crossover novel.

At the end of At Her Command, Lawrence and Rosalinda were preparing to attend a barbecue at the home of friends. Initially, this was going to be the epilogue, a fun add-on. However, several ideas of what could happen at the barbecue were too good not to pursue. Since their story was already a pretty hefty length, I decided to offer this scene as one of our beloved vignette “revisits” instead.

Some characters are meant to be revisited… Cai and Rand’s story was told in Vampire’s Soul, a standalone in the Vampire Queen series. But as is often the case with my characters, they snuck back into my head, asking for a revisit.  In this vignette, they are meeting with Lady Lyssa, head of the Vampire Council, over the holidays. Cai uncharacteristically decides to get into the holiday spirit…and go to a mall. And nothing worth doing is done without his servant Rand at his side. Cai has to have someone to annoy, after all. A Vampire Queen Series Vignette Released November 2018 This short came about thanks to a meme about reading. It implied that the best pickup approach for a woman who loves books is not to offer to buy her a drink, but to buy her a book. That idea immediately inspired this short, and Wolf and Ella stepped forward as the characters who wanted to be in it. It was part of their whole diabolical plan to get me to write their story sooner than I’d planned. Since they now have their own book (Vampire Master), it was a pretty good plan, lol.

Grace has never herself appeared in the series, except in reference as Daegan’s mother, so this was her first introduction to my readers.

Background: Near the end of Vampire Trinity, Anwyn set three conditions on Gideon’s service to her and Daegan. One of them was that he prove he’d accepted Daegan as his Master, as much as he’d accepted Anwyn as his Mistress. To do this, Gideon had to feed the male vampire and let Daegan take him to his bed, without Anwyn having to be present. This vignette focuses on how Gideon went about meeting that condition.
