Well, May just FLEW by, didn't it? 🐤🐤🐤 Actually, it feels like time has been flying ever since February's release of AT HER WILL. I said I was going to do 3-4 months of marketing, and here we are, in month four. So what does this mean? As of June 1st, I'm back to my normal full time writing project schedule. On a typical writing day, I do first draft and heavy editing in the morning, lighter editing in the afternoon, and whatever time I have left in the afternoon and evening is for marketing.
Which makes a well-planned marketing strategy even more vital. Taking 3-4 months to enhance what I spent 2 months doing at the first of last year ironed out some things I learned since then. Because I took that time, I can now do more marketing with LESS time, which is hopefully good for my sales AND my writing.
But enough of that. What's of FAR more interest to you all (and to me, lol) is where we are on the next story!
So last month I told you about my next book, NAUGHTY DREAMS. It will be a standalone Book 3 in the Naughty Bits world (the opening chapter is in Madison's shop). It is a M/m story (Male Dom/male sub) - a rockstar/bodyguard pairing! The bodyguard is the Dom, the rockstar is the sub. This month I have NAMES for you. Roy Bloodwell is our tough, sexy bodyguard, and Dorian "DJ" James is the world famous rockstar he's hired to protect. This teaser gives you a DJ visual, as well as a taste of the dynamic between them.
But what does Roy look like? I ran a couple proposed visuals past the readers on the social media platforms this month, with this introduction:
ROY BLOODWELL: Dom and personal bodyguard to an intriguing, sexy, annoying kid (and submissive) named DORIAN JAMES, "DJ" to his fans. Did I mention he’s a world famous rockstar and going to be a big pain in Roy's ass?
WHAT DOES ROY LOOK LIKE?
"That" edged out "This" so That may end up in more teaser graphics. However, they both got love, so "This" may go into holding for another future character (wink). Which one do YOU prefer as Roy? Once I write the book, no matter how I describe him, you are welcome to imagine him however you wish!
