Well, after last minute research details about looms, spinning wheels and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, the final manuscript of Arcane Chaos was completed and uploaded. Thank goodness for my wonderful readers and your many connections, talents and travels! Remember you can PREORDER NOW from these vendors:
Amazon * Amazon Worldwide * Apple * Kobo * Nook
The print proof is on its way to us, so once it's approved, we'll release it for purchase. That usually happens at least a week before the ebook release, to give print buyers the opportunity to have it in hand by or just before the June 15 release date. I do love my ebooks, but it's always a pleasure to hold the book in my hands and see the cover in all its glossy glory.
[Google will be available on or just before the release date. No plans for audio at this time.]
One of the earliest books I wrote (in the nineties) was the now out-of-print book Guardians of the Continuum, where the heroine of the story was Wiccan. It was in researching that faith that I found my own spiritual home, and I've considered myself Wiccan ever since. The magical elements of Wicca lent themselves delightfully to an integration with the paranormal elements of that earlier book, and from there into the storylines of Ruby, Raina, and now Ramona. Though my own practices are mainly spiritual, it would be nice to have some of the powers these three do (particularly when I need to clean my house, lol).
WANT TO READ THE FIRST THREE CHAPTERS? Earlier in May, I gave my JWHMembersOnly Facebook group their usual early peek at the first three chapters of the book, and now I offer the same to my newsletter subscribers. Click here if you'd like to download that to your reader.
On the week of the release (JUNE 15), I'll have some fun background stories about the book, which will include a sexy beekeeper, a terrifying office mishap, and what movie was an early spark for Silas's Reaper character. Tune into my FB and MeWe groups to hear those stories if you like, but if you're not on any social media, I'll put some of that in my next issue as well, never fear.
In the meantime, I hope you enjoy Arcane Chaos, and if you haven't yet read the first two books in the trilogy, remember the first book is free! See below.
If you've never read any of the books in the soon-to-be completed Arcane Shot trilogy, start with Ruby's story for FREE! Here are all the links, plus a BookFunnel link if your vendor doesn't show that price. You can also view the full series list on Amazon here.
I have a new blog post on GoodReads! It was inspired while sitting on a screened porch in lovely Belle Isle one afternoon, reading the fabulous book Daisy Jones and The Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid. Though the post is a bit rambly, you might like it. If you want to take a look, click here.
I have picked out my outfit for the Cinderella ball - have you? I found a very Hollywood starlet style dress that flows. Now I have to figure out what color orthopedic sneakers to wear with it - ha! My mother would turn over in her grave if I did that!! Of course, she was cremated, so maybe it's more appropriate to say she'll become a vortex of ash and choke me? Lol...she'd say that was more her style. Anyway, if you're coming, you'll be able to see firsthand what I end up putting on my poor flat feet.
Reminder - if you are coming that July 28-31 weekend, AND WANT TO BE SURE I'LL HAVE CERTAIN BOOKS AVAILABLE - email me at storywitch@storywitch.com and tell me what book(s) you'll be seeking. If you want to be pre-invoiced for them so they can be signed and waiting for pickup, just let me know that as well!
Be sure to join the Facebook Group to stay on top of all the details, and if you don't do Facebook, visit the Eventbrite page, which includes a link to contact the organizers if you have further questions. See you in July!
I'm taking a little break to do some marketing work before I start my Fall 2022 book, At Her Call, the third Mistresses of the Board Room story. But I haven't stopped brainstorming. I have the opening scene for Skye and Tiger's story already in mind. While Tiger's not part of an MC, he is an avid biker, so I'm going to have to expand my research into motorcycle enthusiasts a little beyond a binge re-watch of Sons of Anarchy. Fortunately, I live outside Myrtle Beach, where there are two major biker rallies every year. Plus I have biker enthusiasts in my own neighborhood AND readers who are bikers. I'm looking forward to exploring all those resources to bring Skye and Tiger's story to life. (But I am still totally binge-watching those first two SOA seasons I love so much again - Jax Teller, swoon!)
Just as a refresher, Skye is our mute IT/Tech manager, and Tiger is a handsome tattooed garage manager and biker bad boy. A powerful sub, he's never become overly attached to one particular Domme. Unexpected circumstances will change the nature of their relationship, taking Skye to new levels as a Domme, and demanding far more from him as a submissive. Want to read the first two books in the series, At Her Command and At Her Service? Click the series link here. Like Knights of the Board Room, all books can stand alone, as each focuses on one of the five women who are part of the Thomas Rose Associates marketing firm in New Orleans.
Now, how about we look at this month's FREE EBOOK selections from some other authors?

This month, Marianne gives us a modern-day fairy tale, where a sexy future king has his sights set on a commoner -- his sister's chief of staff. Stella asks what happens when the Daddy Dom of your dreams is an alien? And Kitty offers a dark story where a sadistic training master might find a way to fight his own demons by protecting the sub put in his care. Enjoy!
IMPORTANT NOTE: Not all books featured in this monthly section may be permafree, so be sure to grab them NOW.

Want a Kindle signature? My books are listed at the Authorgraph site, so if you'd like a "Kindlegraph", send me a request! Just go to Authorgraph.com, put Joey W. Hill in the search line, and it will pull up my books, with a "Request Authorgraph" button beneath each.
Want a signed bookplate for your print book and a bookmark? No need to be bummed about not seeing me at a book signing. Just shoot me an email at storywitch@PROTECTED with your mailing address and the title(s) of the book(s) for which you want a signature, and I'll send you personalized bookplates anytime, free of charge. And I always send it with a signed bookmark!
HAVE YOU CHECKED THE AUTHOR'S WEBSITE?
I am ALWAYS delighted to hear from my readers, and I never mind answering your questions. However, about 90% of the general questions I receive on email can be quickly answered on my website, www.storywitch.com. And the cool thing is you get your answer in the time it takes you to do a couple clicks, versus having to type up your question and send it to me, then wait for me to emerge from my writing cave and check my email.
A lot of authors experience this now. Because we have so much more of a presence at FB, Twitter, and the like, it's easy to forget that most authors still maintain a website where you can quickly get info. On my site, you can not only find BLURBS and FREE EXCERPTS for every book I've published, you can find SERIES ORDER, including recommendations on which ones can stand alone or need specific titles to be read first. Under the In the Works page, you'll find information about UPCOMING RELEASES and what's percolating (the popular "will you ever write a book about so-n-so" question would be answered there).
Just go to my website, storywitch.com, and enjoy your visit. It is specifically and deliberately designed not to be flashy or confusing. Just look at the drop down menus at the top for what you're seeking.
Want a SIGNED BOOKMARK? I have six beautiful bookmarks, each design representing one of my series: Knights of the Board Room, Nature of Desire, Vampire Queen, Arcane Shot, Daughters of Arianne and Naughty Bits. You can look at them here (click on the one you like for a larger view). Just shoot me an email at storywitch@storywitch.com with your mailing address and tell me which bookmark you want. I'll send you two of that design - one for you and one to share! NOTE: some of these show previous cover editions, but hopefully that doesn't detract from their appeal!
Want a SIGNED BOOK? Bummed because you can't make it to a signing? Just email me at storywitch@storywitch.com with 1) what book you want, 2) your mailing address, and 3) if you want me to personalize it to a particular name (Mary, Marie, Marissa, etc), or no personalization, just a signature and a cheery note. I'll shoot you an invoice and, once that's squared away, the book will be on its way to you!
Want a SIGNED BOOKPLATE? Want a bookplate for your favorite JWH book(s)? Just shoot me an email at storywitch@storywitch.com with your mailing address, the title(s) of the book(s), and I'll send you personalized bookplates anytime, free of charge. And I always send it with a signed bookmark!
Want to read BONUS CONTENT STORIES revisiting Joey's characters? She has over a dozen FREE novellas/shorts with easy BookFunnel download links. You'll find them all under the Cantrips (Vignettes) menu item on her website.
Want Joey to visit your BOOKCLUB? She is available for online bookclub meetings and even sometimes in-person clubs, within a reasonable geographic range. Don't hesitate to ask! Just email her at storywitch@storywitch.com.

You can leave a question for me under my Author Profile on GoodReads. I'm on Twitter and Facebook (Author Page), and regularly stop in at the JWHMembersOnly fan group. DIDN'T GET A RESPONSE?
Responding to my readers, and doing so in a very timely manner (within 24-48 hours), is extremely important to me. So if you have sent a communication to me in any medium noted above and have not received a response, a technical glitch has occurred. Either your communication did not get through to me, or my response did not reach you. If you suspect that's the case, use one of the alternative methods to send me a "Hey, Joey, I sent you a note through email (or social media platform, etc). Did you get it?" message, and we'll make sure we sort it out. I will never intentionally ignore my readers!
HAVING PROBLEMS GETTING MY NEWSLETTER PAST YOUR SPAM FILTER? - Whenever I issue a newsletter, I will post about it on the social media platforms mentioned above, to ensure it reaches the widest number of people possible. So if you're following me on any of them, you'll get a heads up. Or you can put https://storywitch.com/newsletter/?latest as one of your Favorite links. You can click on it anytime to see if a new newsletter has been released. I try to get a new issue out during the first 7 days of every month.
HELP ME WITH FOLLOWS/REVIEWS
NEVER an obligation, but when you follow or review me on Bookbub, Amazon or both, it helps my books get increased visibility and marketing considerations on the sites. And in return, you get heads up about releases and sales!
Thank you so much for your support of my work!
