Yes, we're in the home stretch on Geoff, Sam and Chris's story! This week, Naughty Wishes Part III : MIND went live, so many of you are finding out how Geoff and Chris will resolve all their simmering sexual tension. Thank you so much for the enthusiastic reader reviews of MIND that have been posted, including this one from Roth on Amazon: "Beautifully written, shockingly, tenderly told... Joey has the style of writing that draws you into the middle of the story, into the middle of her characters, and you get swept away. You can't help it, you can't stop yourself, and you can't stop dreaming of these characters coming to life, and taking you away with them. Beautiful!" Avid Reader says "Outstanding, simply outstanding. Ms. Hill has outdone herself with this series." Thank you all, and I hope everyone has a good experience with Geoff and Chris's portion of the story!

For those of you who have voiced your preference to wait until all four parts of this serial are available, you are getting your wish VERY soon. On April 19, SOUL, the last segment, will be available for download! In the final segment, Chris and Geoff will apply their newfound bond to becoming a three-way relationship with Sam. Remember, you can purchase all of the novellas at your favorite online vendor, and I've posted all available buy links on the web page here.

Oh, and want another reason not to miss Part IV? Madison and Logan from Naughty Bits have a very memorable appearance in this one, when Geoff, Sam and Chris attend a kickoff event to build excitement about Madison's erotic performance theater.

"But I want a full compilation edition of the four novellas," you say. "When is that happening?" Answer: If the sales of the segments do well, the publisher will likely offer a compilation ebook, audio and print version of Naughty Wishes about a year from the serial release!

Yep, we didn't have to wait that long for that, did we? I'm very excited to report, as of this newsletter, Worth the Wait is available for pre-order on Kindle with a MAY 31 RELEASE DATE. And the lovely COVER and blurb has been added to my website, along with that preorder link. By the time of the April newsletter, I should also have a full Chapter One excerpt out there for you.

I've been away from the Nature of Desire series for too long, and I'm so happy I'll be returning to it for Julie's story. As a reminder, she was Marcus and Thomas's good friend from Rough Canvas.

You'll notice the blurb mentions that Julie will be traveling to North Carolina to help set up an erotic performance theater for her friend Madison. Yes, this is the same erotic performance theater Madison is starting to plan in Naughty Wishes, mentioned above. You know how my characters love to jump across series! So Madison and her hot Dom husband Logan will play key roles in Julie's book, as will Marcus and Thomas for certain.

As mentioned last month, Ellora's Cave has returned the rights to all of the titles I had with them. That would be the full Nature of Desire series, five of the seven Knights of the Board Room books, one from the Vampire Queen series, and a handful of older non-series titles. These books were given snazzy new covers, thanks to the talented efforts of my husband. And if you've been waiting for those snazzy covers to come out in print, your wait is over for almost all of them. I did a check of Amazon and Barnes and Noble, and all but the new version of Willing Sacrifice is available in print on Amazon, and we're working on the problem with that title. On Barnes and Noble, we're still waiting for a handful to go live, but since the print books were made available through CreateSpace, an Amazon company, they recommend allowing 4-6 weeks for them to get loaded on non-Amazon vendors. So if you prefer to buy from Barnes and Noble, some of the titles are there now, and more will be coming!

Remember, if you haven't read one of these titles yet, or have friends you've been encouraging to read them, now's an excellent time at the self-published ebook prices, $4.99 for a full length and $2.99 for a novella. While the print books aren't as inexpensive as ebooks, these are priced somewhat lower than they were before, so I hope that's helpful to those adding to their shelves.

It's been a while since I've had a blog, but since I've started to become more active on Goodreads, I thought it would be fun to reach out to avid readers there. You can read my first post here and give me good ideas for future topics. I've also recently updated my shelves, so you can see what I'm reading now, what I have recently read, and my all time favorites.

Ready for a good time in Savannah? Remember, my one conference appearance this year will be at Authors After Dark in Savannah, GA, August 3-9. Registration is now open! The coordinator has reported they will have all sorts of field trips planned if you arrive early, like exclusive access times to water and trampoline parks. They'll also have onsite yoga instruction this year, as well as the celebrated tattoo artists Geoff and Ferg and the wonderful corsetier. Savannah has oodles to do when you're not participating in the conference: ghost tours, pub crawls and shopping trips are all possible for you and new/existing reader author friends. "AAD's last year is going to be one filled with memories and laughter and one of a kind experiences..." I'm looking forward to having even more facetime with readers and sharing an enjoyable time in lovely Savannah with you all.

Though I can't attend this year, I also highly recommend the 2016 BDSM Writers' Conference (for both READERS and writers). There will be TWO this year--one in Everett, Washington and one in NYC, NY. This is an outstanding con to attend, whether you're a reader merely curious about the BDSM world you've read about, or an author wanting to expand his/her knowledge. You can find out more by visiting here. They have a great lineup of vendors, workshops and hands-on experiences in both venues. The Everett one happened THIS month, with Tiffany Reisz as the keynote. I would have loved to see her speak. Sierra Cartwright will be the keynote in NY!

If a day trip to discover new authors is more your thing, then take a look at the Sexy and Sassy Signing event in Norfolk, Virginia in July 2016. (Look in the sidebar of that link to find their Facebook page and more info for the event.)

I've been blessed with the kind of wonderful readers who ask that question. In an ideal world, I could answer, "Oh, don't worry about any of that. Just enjoy the books!" And first and foremost, that's what I always want you to do. However, if it gives you joy and pleasure to spread the word, that is greatly appreciated, especially in an increasingly competitive market with SO many books available. YOUR word-to-mouth recommendations to other readers help an author more than any other kind of home-grown marketing. So here are some things you can do:

Post a review and/or rate the book on Amazon, Goodreads, Barnes and Noble, etc. - Did you like the book? Post a review! This doesn't have to be anything fancy, just a couple lines or even a one click to choose your star rating. On Amazon in particular, this is VERY helpful to an author, because the more positive reviews a book has, the greater the likelihood that it will show up on the "Recommended for You" screen when a reader purchases or views similar titles.

Share on social media - When I post information about new releases or other exciting happenings related to my books, please Share on FB, Twitter, and wherever you feel is appropriate (don't spam anyone, of course!). And you don't have to wait for me to post. If you love one of my books, share the vendor link, or the book page on my website, because it has everything a reader needs - buy links as well as teaser and blurb about the book.

Chat about the books with friends - If you regularly visit online groups like blogs and forums, or you meet in person with friends/co-workers who talk books, chat up mine. This isn't a formal marketing pitch - just honestly share what you liked about the title. As noted above, there is no better marketing an author can have than a reader who genuinely loves their books and lets that love show!

Share pretty pictures! - Do you enjoy graphics with very attractive people in them (particularly heroes)? Who doesn't, right? I usually have fun graphics for each of my series and often for specific titles. You'll find these in my Joeys Pics album on the JWH Connection fan forum. Just login, go to Albums, put Joeys Pics in the search and choose the Other category. If you've never logged into the forum before, here's the access info link. You can have these purely for fun and your own enjoyment, or to share with others; it's entirely up to you!

Often my readers ask "how can I join your street team"? More and more authors are moving to the common sense idea that "all my readers are my street team", meaning they put action items on their FB page or in their newsletters like this to encourage all readers who wish to do so to help out. That takes the pressure off of someone who's too busy one week, but gives them the opportunity to help out at another time, since the action items are ongoing. Make sense? So if ever you're in the mood to share the love, just remember the list above or check out what's happening at my Facebook page! And THANK YOU a hundred times over for anything you do to spread the word!

Standard Reminders about the JWH fan forum:

Announcement Panel: When you log onto the forum, there's a pinned Announcement post at the top that will tell you the latest things happening, like the Sunday night chat, new giveaways, etc.

To access the forum, or just learn more about all the great free reads, graphics and more that are offered there, visit this page on my website:

My great thanks to the ladies who independently run this site and give my fans a lovely place to get together and talk about books, hot heroes and all the things erotic romance lovers enjoy!

IMPORTANT NOTE: In the coming weeks, we'll be transferring Internet Service Providers for the forum, so we may have a few days the forum goes down as that transfer happens and/or we deal with any gremlins that crop up. So if you get a "missing site" message some time in the near future, just check in with me on FB, Twitter or email to see what's happening, and definitely plan to come back when the site is up and running!

Because many email filters now bounce the newsletter, I'm going to make this a permanent part of the newsletter for awhile to help as many people as possible gain access to it. Regrettably, there's not a lot we can do on this side if the newsletter is hitting an email filter that is bouncing it without notifying either one of us. However, we do have some things you can try that seem to have worked for folks:

FIRST - make sure the newsletter email is part of your contact list: "newsletter@PROTECTED."

SECOND - Check whatever filters you do have for spam and the like and see what methods are available to you to ensure an email like this gets through. My newsletters have a plethora of links in them to make it easy for you to find the things I'm talking about, but the flip side of that is it can get the newsletter tagged pretty quickly as spam.

THIRD - Contact me at newsletter@PROTECTED and ask to be unsubscribed. Once we confirm with you that has been done, rather than us sending you an invitation (which can bounce for the aforementioned reasons), we have you go in to the website newsletter link and subscribe yourself - here's the link to that. If it works, you'll get an automatic invitation to confirm, and then, fingers crossed, you should be set.

FOURTH - If none of this works or all of it is just too frustrating and you want to say "screw it!" (and I can hardly blame you, lol), then just make sure you've liked my FB page or are following me on Twitter, or are a member of the JWH Connection fan forum. This is because EVERY MONTH I will post the latest newsletter link on all three of those, to make sure it reaches the widest number of people possible! It's the same link monthly, so if you want, just put as one of your Favorites.

"I have a question." Answer: "Have you checked the author's website?

I am ALWAYS delighted to hear from my readers, and I never mind answering your questions. However, about 90% of the general questions I receive on email can be quickly answered on my website, And the cool thing is you get your answer in the time it takes you to do a couple clicks, versus having to type up your question and send it to me, then wait for me to emerge from my writing cave and check my email.

A lot of authors experience this now. Because we have so much more of a presence at FB, Twitter, fan forums and the like, it's easy to forget that most authors still maintain a website where you can quickly get info. On my site, you can not only find BLURBS and FREE EXCERPTS for every book I've published, you can find SERIES ORDER, including recommendations on which ones can stand alone or need specific titles to be read first. Under the In the Works page, you'll find information about UPCOMING RELEASES and what's percolating (the popular "will you ever write a book about so-n-so" question would be answered there).

Just go to my website,, and enjoy your visit. It is specifically and deliberately designed not to be flashy or confusing. Just look at the drop down menus at the top for what you're seeking.
